Our Thoughts on CES 2020

With CES 2020 less than one month away, Smart Eye is looking forward to discovering which new technological innovations will be showcased in Las Vegas in January.

Even though CES tends to be a yearly highlight, we expect the upcoming edition will be even more memorable for us than previous years’. Martin Krantz, founder and CEO of Smart Eye, explains why:

“Smart Eye has been attending via our partners for several years. But now, we will have our own booth and our own display for the first time. What I’m looking forward to the most is the chance to show our innovative products to the entire automotive industry.”

Needless to say, expectations are high. At CES 2019 we saw a more sober and less hyped approach to self-driving cars than before, while automotive electrification and eye-tracking technology attracted more attention than ever. In fact, the number of eye tracking companies and AI-powered sensors showcased seemed to have increased in an almost explosive way.

But CES 2020 marks the beginning of a new decade of technology, and we are eager to find out what the 2020’s will bring in terms of AI and automotive technology. Next year, Martin Krantz believes autonomy and autonomous vehicles will remain a strong trend at CES. He also predicts that a lot of new processors and other types of exciting hardware will be presented.

“Another strong trend, of course, will continue to be artificial intelligence, and the interface between humans and artificial intelligence. That’s where Smart Eye operates”, says Martin Krantz.

Smart Eye’s booth at CES 2020 will display our AI-powered driver monitoring products, while acting as a meeting point for people interested in the latest automotive technology.

“Also, we intend to show other in-car AI technology. But more about that later on – closer to the CES”, teases Martin Krantz.
